Driver who had taken cocaine caught by routine police check in Inverness

A 36-year-old woman who drove after taking cocaine was banned from driving for a year and fined £290.

Ashley Kerr, of Balgate Drive, Kiltarlity, admitted at Inverness Sheriff Court having 800mcgs of the drug's metabolyte in her system.

The legal safe limit for driving is 50mcgs.

The offence came to light at 11.15am on February 11 last year, in Harbour Road, when her vehicle was stopped by police for a routine check.
