Driver taken to hospital following one-vehicle crash in Inverness

A driver has been taken to hospital following a one-vehicle crash in an Inverness neighbourhood.

The incident, involving a male driver, happened this afternoon in Tower Road, Smithton.

Police Scotland confirmed officers received a report about 3.30pm.

"The driver of the car has been taken by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital," a spokeswoman said.

"No one else was injured.

"Inquiries are ongoing."
