A senior accounts manager from Inverness who drove while five times the legal drink-drive limit will be sentenced next month.

Juan Rodriguez (34), of Charles Street, Inverness, admitted driving in Dores Road on September 16 with 110mcgs of alcohol in his system when the limit is 22mcgs.

Inverness Sheriff Court was told that a member of the public contacted police due to concern about Rodriguez’s driving.

Officers traced him around two hours later and subjected him to a breath test.

Rodriguez will appear again on October 29 when a background report on him will have been prepared by social workers.
