The Dores Inn has announced it is closing temporarily.

The owners of the Dores Inn say Covid-19 restrictions have made it impossible for it to trade for the time being.

In a post on its Facebook page the owners of the popular lochside pub and eatery said: "It is with great sadness we have made the difficult but necessary decision to close the Dores Inn for now.

"Unfortunately Covid-19 restrictions have made it untenable for us to continue trading at this time, but we will continue to review the situation and reopen when possible.

"We would like to thank our wonderful, loyal customers who have supported us and look forward to welcoming you back in better times.

"In the meantime, we wish you all the best and we will miss you!"

There was no word on exactly when they might reopen.
