Inverness City Centre BID has announced the appointment of two new BID board directors following their recent AGM.

They are Don Lawson, owner of Johnny Foxes and Jimmy Badgers and current chairman of the Pub Watch Group, and Donald MacLean owner of Primo Menswear.

Craig Duncan, BID co-chairman said: "We are delighted to welcome Don and Donald to the BID board not least as their extensive business experience and knowledge will add strategic value to our organisation.

"As a board, individually and collectively our focus remains on delivering our fourth term business plan for and on behalf of our members following our renewed mandate."

Mr Lawson said: "I am pleased to join the BID board at what is both an exciting and a crucial time for the city centre.

"I very much look forward to working with my new board colleagues as well as hopefully providing a strong representative voice for the businesses that comprise the night-time economy."

Mr MacLean of Primo added: "Inverness is a great place to live and work and through my recent appointment I hope to contribute to the wider business and city centre community by helping to hopefully make a difference."
