Will Webster, from Lossiemouth, found the photo after his partner went on a trip to fuel her “little” obsession with antique furniture and restoration.

She purchased the bureau from Auldearn Antiques and took it home. It was only on closer inspection that she found the photo within one of the drawers.

The photo is of a blonde child sitting on an outdoor bench holding a Siamese cat.

Judging from the clothing in the photo, it appears to be from the late 60s or the 1970s.

Without wanting to discard the photograph, Will took to social media to try and track down the owner.

Will said: “Photographs are a snapshot in history and because they tell a story and hold a memory, we wanted to see if we could find the person in the photo or at least a family member to return it to.

“It may seem like trying to find a needle in a haystack but it would be great to see people coming together and be able to get it to the family.”
