TWO Highland athletes were on hand at the opening of the fourth Tesco store in Inverness today.

Kim Williamson, from Inverness, and Nairn’s Rob Kirk accepted a £1000 donation to Highland Disability Sport from the supermarket giant at the launch of its Dores Road outlet.

Both were part of the record-breaking Great Britain team that claimed 187 medals from the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Athens this month and took part in the football events.

The new store has created 140 jobs.
