A Dingwall call centre worker has admitted attacking another woman.

Amy Stewart (22) appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court and admitted the assault to injury charge which took place at a property at Ulladale Crescent, Strathpeffer on July 19, 2020.

The court heard that the victim was seized by the hair and dragged to the ground during the incident.

Defence agent Graham Mann said Stewart, of Church Street, Dingwall, said his client had been in the company of the complainer when she became "agitated".

He added: "She had had a few drinks.

"There's been a very short struggle."

Sheriff Eilidh MacDonald sentenced Stewart to a community payback order with the requirement to carry out 63 hours of unpaid work in the community.
