INVERNESS motor group Dicksons has received a prestigious award from a top car manufacturer at its annual conference.

The Kia Together 2023 event in Birmingham rewarded select dealerships with accolades after it recorded 100,000 registrations in 2022 – the first time it has reached the six-figure landmark in the UK.

And Dicksons was among 10 dealers from 192 in the UK to receive the Hall of Fame award.

The award is a recognition of dealer partners who have had considerable success over Kia’s time in the UK.

Dicksons’ managing director Fraser Bryce, who picked up the award at the event, said: “We were delighted to receive this award from Kia, which is one of our most popular brands producing some of the most exciting and advanced vehicles throughout the country currently.

“Given the fact there are almost 200 dealers in the UK, to be singled out to be part of this elite group is indeed an honour.

“It is a culmination of many years of hard work leading up to this and is a testament to the phenomenal collective effort put in by our fantastic staff in Inverness.”

Dicksons was the first Scottish dealer to receive the Kia ‘Dealer of the Year’ award in 2013 and the company has received a number of other accolades over the years, including outstanding achievement award 2012 for ‘Customer Delight’; Platinum Dealer award 2012; Dealer excellence award 2013; Family-like care award 2014. In the same year it carried off a Platinum Prestige award 2014; then Outstanding customer satisfaction 2015; plus Platinum Prestige 2018; and Platinum Prestige 2019.

Dicksons, which has been based in Inverness since 1992, employs about 70 staff at its Telford Retail Park base.
