Inverness Athletic FC and KJW Events teamed up to create the charity darts night.

The original June 3 date sold out promptly, leading to the decision for a second outing the following evening at the Ironworks in Inverness.

Ticket holders can looking forward to seeing top players Alan Soutar, John Henderson, Stephen Bunting and Joe Cullen in action, accompanied by commentary from MC Ashley Holgate and Sky Sports regular Jade Slusarczyk.

There will also be an auction and a raffle with prizes, including signed memorabilia from leading darts players.

Inverness Athletic FC club secretary, Sandy Stephen, said they are looking forward to supporting the mental health charity.

“Normally every year we have a sportsmen’s dinner, that’s our main fundraiser for the club and the running costs, however in the last couple of years we haven’t been able to do that,” he said.

“We’ve always thought darts would be a good event and the darts championships seemed to go so well that we took a bit of a chance and it seems to have paid off.

“We’ve been involved with Mikeysline since we were up and running. It’s something that the club feels need to be recognised. People need to speak up and need to know there are people out there that are willing to listen to them. It’s better to talk and it’s OK not to be OK.

“If nothing else, we can try and get the message of the charity out there to an audience of people, especially those at a young age.”

Mikeysline supports people with advice, school sessions, and with a phone or text service when people are in need.

Its ambassadors include actress Karen Gillan and Inverness Caley Thistle sporting director John Robertson.

VIP tickets are available for both evenings, giving attendees special seating, a private bar and buffet and the chance for a meet-and-greet with players.
