Inverness Courier readers believe time is up for embattled Prime Minister Liz Truss

Two third of respondents to an Inverness Courier poll believe Prime Minister Liz Truss should leave office.

We asked our readers whether the Conservative Party leader should stay or go after a series of crises just six weeks after she replaced Boris Johnson.

Some 67 per cent of those taking part felt the PM should quit at the earliest opportunity, while 33 per cent felt this was not the time for her to leave.
