The Strictly pairing night saw 32 individuals teamed up for the fundraiser.

Dancers will make a triumphant return in 2022 after two years of Covid-related delays to the extravaganza that raises money for the Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice Centre.

Nervous contestants gathered at the Drumossie Hotel to discover who they had been partnered with, with pairings now in training for the next five months.

Some of the latest recruits were those left disappointed when the plug had to be pulled in 2020, but there are new faces too.

Each pair will fundraise along the way.

Communications officer for Highland Hospice, Wendy Morgan, said, “When we started organising Strictly 2020, little did we know that some of the same dancers would still be waiting to perform now!

“It was exciting to see both the familiar and new faces making up our 2022 line-up all together in one room. Our tutors Suzanne Innes and Cristina Mulet Galvez did a fantastic job of pairing everyone up, and we just can’t wait to get Strictly up and running again!”

Strictly Inverness is due to take place from May 18-21 next year, at Inverness Ice Centre.
