A FURIOUS couple say operators of a “secure” car park near Inverness Airport left their luxury car unlocked and unattended and with the keys on the back wheel.

Joyce and Alan McTaggart, both 53 and from Culbokie, had been on a week-long adventure to Prague, having paid to leave their “pride and joy” in a long stay space at Dalcross Industrial Estate Airpark.

However, when they got home after 10pm on Wednesday night and went to pick up their £20,000 car – a Volvo S60 with a 2018 private number plate – they found the gates to the premises lying wide open with no member of staff to be found.

Mrs McTaggart said: “We had no idea where to find our car. Because the car park was busy when we dropped it off we left our keys with the staff for them to park it for us.”

In a dark, badly lit car park the couple eventually located the vehicle, but were then shocked to find its door was unlocked with a note left in the front seat that read “key on the driver’s side back wheel, thanks”.
