Highland Council postpones Nairnshire committee meeting after death of Nairn councillor Tom Heggie

Councillor Tom Heggie died suddenly on Wednesday morning.

A meeting of Highland Council's Nairnshire committee had been scheduled to take place on Tuesday next week (March 1).

Cllr Heggie was the committee's chairman and the council said this afternoon that the meeting would now take place on Tuesday, March 8 instead.

Council leaders earlier issued their own tributes to Cllr Heggie.
