A CHARITY is looking to enlist an army of knitters and needlework enthusiasts to raise funds for Raigmore Hospital and its patients.

Friends of Raigmore Hospital (FoR) runs the gift shop at the main entrance, which is currently closed amid the coronavirus lockdown.

But volunteers are aware that money-raising ideas are likely to be all the more important once the popular store re-opens.

Since 1980, FoR has raised cash to buy equipment and other items for the benefit of patients.

A post on the charity’s Facebook page reads: “If you knit, crochet or sew, and have wool, material etc at home would you think about making baby cardigans, teddies etc for us.”
