Coronavirus deaths in the NHS Highland area now stand at 50

A total of 50 people have now died in the NHS Highland area from either confirmed or suspected Covid-19.
In the Highland Council area, which is smaller than the NHS Highland region, the total number of deaths is 22.
One of those deaths has been in a care home, 18 in hospital and three at home.
The figures have just been released by the National Records of Scotland.
Nationally, Scotland saw a large rise in deaths, up to 1616 from the 962 deaths that were registered seven days ago.
In a more detailed breakdown of the national numbers, the majority of deaths were in hospitals (910) while 537 people died in care homes and 168 people died at home or in another setting.
