Number of coronavirus cases in NHS Highland area remains at five, while Covid-19 cases in Scotland rise and death toll moves to three

There have been no more cases of coronavirus confirmed in the Highlands in the last 24 hours – as the number of Scottish people testing positive for Covid-19 rose to 227 and a third person has died after contracting the disease.

There are five confirmed cases across the NHS Highland area and 24 in neighbouring Grampian.

Elsewhere, the worst affected health board areas in Scotland are Greater Glasgow & Clyde (57) and Lothian (33).

A total of 6091 tests had been carried out.
