A convoy of heavy goods and agricultural vehicles are planning a drive past at Raigmore Hospital.

Organised by Steven Barclay, the managing director of Seafield Park Transport in Wester Inshes, the turnout of vehicles will coincide with the weekly Clap for Carers tomorrow night.

It follows on from a similar event held in Nairn last week, when around 15 vehicles took part.

Mr Barclay said: "It is just to give them a wee thank you – they are doing a good job and it's not hard for us to do this and give them a couple of smiles.

"That's what we are after."

Having spoken to police about the best route the convoy will start at Raigmore Avenue, close to the Scottish Ambulance Service base, at 7.45pm.

It will then head around Woodside Terrace and past the main entrance of the hospital.

Mr Barclay said the convoy will also take in the nearby fire station to show their appreciation for them as well.
