Congratulations to Foundation Apprentice Of The Year 2022 Nathan Macdonald who is an automotive apprentice at Inverness Kart Raceway

Highland Council has congratulated an Inverness apprentice for winning a top award.

Kim Douglas and Kerry Nicholas, from the authority's Employability Team, expressed their delight as they congratulated Nathan Macdonald who is an automotive apprentice at Inverness Kart Raceway.

He has been named the Foundation Apprentice of the Year 2022 and has been supported by them over the last three years to help him achieve his goals in securing his apprenticeship and college placement.

Following the announcement, that he is foundation apprentice of the year, a chuffed Nathan warmly thanked the Employability Service for their help in securing his apprenticeship with Inverness Kart Raceway and their continued support.

Speaking on behalf of the Employability Team Kim said: “Nathan has grown in maturity and shown great resilience in persevering with his dreams and ambitions.

"He will go from strength to strength on the back of this achievement and we are all extremely proud of him.

"We will continue to support Nathan in whatever direction this takes him so he can reach his full potential.”
