A CONCERT in aid of Ukrainian refugees by Ardersier Folk Club and other fundraising in the village has raised more than £2000.

Chairman of the Folk Club John Ross said: "What a super evening seeing folk out enjoying themselves being entertained by first class musicians."

He said £600 was raised by a collection at the PACE charity shop and the door and raffle at the concert produced a shade over £1000.

"We had a few other sundry donations earlier so the Folk Club is delighted to make our help for Ukraine up to £2150."

The cash will be split between The Highland Support Refugees and the Disaster Emergency Committee.

The Folk Club would like to thank all those involved in this venture and are now planning for their Festival in Mid-September.
