A community postal ballot to decide the final location of bottle banks in North Kessock is being held by Highland Council.

The council has written to eligible voters, who are aged 16 and over, within the catchment area of North Kessock Primary School.

The letter states that the authority will be holding a postal ballot to ask the following question: What is your preferred location for the bottle banks in North Kessock? Ferry Brae or North Kessock main car park?

Residents will be able to cast their vote by marking an X next to their preferred location and the outcome of the ballot will determine the final location of the North Kessock bottle banks.

Postal ballot papers will be sent out by Highland Council on Monday, February 14, and forms should be returned by noon on Monday, February 28.

The count, administrated by the council's elections team, will take place on Tuesday, March 1, with further information published on the council's website.

Further information on the ballot – including questions and answers – and the Communities and Place Committee report of 25 November 2020 - can be viewed on the council's website.
