Parklands have unveiled the new vision for a Fortrose care home.

FORTROSE and Rosemarkie Community Council has agreed to back a planning application for a new £4 million care home in Fortrose.

Parklands has formally submitted its plans to Highland Council for the 40-bed care home in Ness Road. The original proposal was turned down by planners last May as the site was not zoned for development. It is a revised application, for the same site.

Following the community council meeting, chairwoman Sarah Atkin said: “The role of a community council is to reflect the views of the community as a whole, irrespective of personal opinion.

“The Black Isle needs a care home. This is the only one on offer.”
