COMEDIAN Jane Godley is to address the Unison Highland Healthcare Annual General Meeting when it is held online later this week.

The branch decided to invite Ms Godley in a bid to give a boost to members after the traumatic events of the pandemic.

Unison branch secretary Dawn MacDonald said: “It’s been a really difficult year for our members, who have worked super-hard in the face of a very scary pandemic. So we decided that members needed cheering up.

“We have a very special guest for the AGM this year – a Glasgow comedian made famous recently for her voice-overs of Nicola Sturgeon press conferences – Janey Godley. We are sure that this will make for a great meeting.”

Two online meetings are planned at 3pm and 7pm on Thursday. Details of how to join will be sent to members.
