An Inverness bar has launched its live events programme for the autumn and winter – including a brand new comedy club.

Botanic House, in Castle Street, has organised a string of gigs featuring the Red Hot Chilli Pipers.

The team is delighted to be bringing a great mix of music genres as well as its first Inverness Comedy Club on November 4 with headliner Larry Dean and guests.

Dean has performed on BBC1’s Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, BBC2’s Live at the Apollo and Mock The Week and Comedy Central UK’s Roast Battle.

He is a regular at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and TV’s Mock the Week, and will bring a completely different and exciting vibe to the venue.

The bar’s manager Tom Wilding said: “Botanic House is such a versatile and adaptable space and although we have been a live music venue up until now, we are so excited to be introducing a comedy event.

“The venue will be transformed into a theatre-style set-up allowing everyone to enjoy great views of the acts.

“This is something we have been considering for some time, and the opportunity to work with Larry Dean and guests came along at the perfect time.”

Musical highlights will see an explosive line-up including traditional music, club DJs and disco gigs.

Kicking off the programme on October 22, is a new Highland Hoolie event with traditional ceilidh music followed by headliner band Heron Valley.

Also at Botanic House is DJ Jasper James on October 23, Local Legend on October 29, Colonel Mustard and the Dijon 5 on October 30 and the Red Hot Chilli Pipers on November 5.
