Men and women in blue met the Brownies this week as Inverness community policing team passed on valuable advice on safety.

The 25th Inverness Drakies Brownies Group chatted with officers about their role and how best to keep themselves safe.

“The girls prepared well thought out questions and were a pleasure to talk to,” a police spokesman said.

Officers were active out and about in the community at various visits across the city with young people, including a ‘Coffee with a Cop’ event at Inshes Retail Park.

They also met with pupils from Inverness Royal Academy who carried out a 10-mile sponsored walk in the city.

Afterwards, pupils and staff held a fun event for those taking part.
