Inverness will have say on Crown land

A CONSULTATION on how land, property and natural resources are managed by Crown Estate Scotland will kick off with an event in Inverness.

Crown Estate Scotland manages land and property across the country and the event on September 6 will give people the chance to feed in to proposals in the organisation’s draft 2020-23 Corporate Plan.

The event is open to anyone interested in shaping how the organisation works with sectors such as marine tourism, ports and harbours, offshore renewables, farming, forestry, and aquaculture.

Crown Estate Scotland chairwoman Amanda Bryan, who will host the event, said: “The coming years will see Crown Estate Scotland invest in property, natural resources and people to generate lasting value for Scotland. This Inverness event continues the engagement that we have done in recent months.

“We want as many people as possible to come along so that we hear from a wide a spectrum of voices, and that we are able to incorporate these views in our in to future work.

The formal consultation on a draft Corporate Plan opens on August 31and will run for 12 weeks.

The consultation event will take place at 5.45pm on September 6 at the Drumossie Hotel.
