A healthcare worker from Inverness will discuss his experience of working at Raigmore Hospital during the coronavirus pandemic in a new documentary.

BBC Alba documentary Sgeulachdan a’ Ghlasaidh (Life in Lockdown) follows the experiences of a wide variety of people from two weeks into lockdown, and one of the people featured is advanced nurse practitioner Murray Graham.

Mr Graham (42), who is married with two children aged 18 and 18 months, normally works in the medical ward at Raigmore with the emergency care team, but was redeployed during the pandemic to other duties, including setting up the ward for Covid-19 patients and being the first point of contact for them when they arrived at hospital.

In the programme, he talks about how distressing it was that these patients were not allowed visitors and often died without family around them.

The documentary will air on Monday and Tuesday next week at 9pm, with additional contributors including other frontline workers as well as those who were shiedling.

Because of the pandemic, all those taking part had to film their own contributions instead of being filmed and interviewed by professional crews.

The programme also features interviews with people from other parts of the world, to offer a wider perspective on the pandemic.
