City man stashed £61,000 worth of Class A drug cocaine at mum's house, Inverness Sheriff Court hears

A DRUG dealer stored £61,200 worth of cocaine in his mother’s home.
John Fraser (37), described as an Inverness prisoner, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court on Friday and admitted being concerned in the supply of the Class A drug at a property in Kenneth Place, Smithton, on March 19, 2019.
Fiscal depute told Sheriff Margaret Neilson that police had gone with a search warrant to Fraser’s mother’s house on that date and stopped him as he was leaving the property.
They found two wraps of cocaine in his possession, but later discovered another 612g hidden behind kick-boards in the kitchen.
Mr Carvel said the drugs had a value of between £21,810 and £61,200, depending upon how it was divided up and sold.
Defence solicitor Ken Ferguson said his client was on a community payback order and a social background report would be required.
He reserved his comments until then.
Sentence was deferred until June 28 and Fraser was again remanded in custody.
