A popular café in Inverness city centre has closed for the rest of the month.

Café Artysans in Strothers Lane has been operating a food to go service during the coronavirus lockdown.

However it has now told customers that it is closing temporarily and plans to reopen in early July.

Explaining the closure the café – which works as a social enterprise giving young people a step up into the world of work – says on Facebook: "This will enable us to bring young people into the operation, so that we can help them prepare for employment and a future where we anticipate that young people will find this particularly difficult.

"We very much appreciate the support of Café Artysans customers as partners in improving the life chances of young people in the Highlands and we will let you know the reopening date in good time."
