Francesca Marchetti works for the hospice’s fundraising department and in 2019 completed the Great Glen Canoe Trail with close friend David Philips in aid of the charity.
Aiming to do something annually for the hospice, Covid temporarily halted their plans, but this March the pair will head north to take on the 270km Lapland Husky Trail in March from Norway to Sweden.
The cheese and wine night was hosted at The Wee Bar in Inverness, where cheese was served from Connage Highland Dairy and wine from a local collector.
Almost £2000 was raised from a combination of ticket sales, donations and a wine auction.
Ms Marchetti said: “It went really well and ran smoothly. Everything was the way it should have been.”
Of the upcoming sledging challenge she said: “The thing I am looking forward to the most is meeting the huskies and just being outside and living the way people live over there.”
