A charity organisation which promotes exchanges between eastern and western cultures is reaching out to local charities who might be in need of support.

The Golden Angel Foundation (GAF) was established in Scotland in 2019 as a registered charity and a local branch in Ardersier has already provided funding to a number of local projects.

Trustee Diana Xu has lived in Ardersier for three years and said the foundation raises funds through online meditation classes.

“At its core, the foundation is an international exchange platform dedicated to promoting eastern and western cultural transfers, religious exchanges and dialogue between modern civilisation and ancient wisdom,” she said.

“GAF is constantly looking for charitable projects that are beneficial to the local areas where it operates.

“It particularly supports projects helping disadvantaged women and children in the community and other projects that contribute to the humanistic and economic development of the local community.”

Diana added: “For the past two years, the foundation has donated continually to local charities including Nairn Museum, Nairn Academy special children’s programme and Women’s Aid, Action for Children, Highland Cycle Ability Centre, Salvation Army, Highland Hospice, Cantraybridge College and more.

“The foundation raises funds through online meditation classes, students consistently provide funding support.”
