Take a trip to Barbieland this Saturday with a Kiltarlity Barbie Karaoke Disco Night and a Mummy Market in aid of Highland Hospice.

The Barbie fundraiser event, organised by Ness Factor contestant Kayleigh Burnside, will take place at Kiltarlity Hall, this Saturday, October 14, from 6pm-11pm.

The Ness Factor Final, which takes place later this month, will see the winner receive a coveted place to perform at Belladrum Tartan Festival 2024.

The Barbie event will also be hosted and be DJ'd by fellow Ness Factor contestant Liam Christie.

Earlier in the day, there will also be a Mummy Market, where attendees can buy and sell baby and children's pre-loved clothing and goods, to save some money, help the environment, and to support the hospice.

The Mummy Market is also taking place on Saturday, October 14, from 10am-1pm, with tables being set up at at 9am.

There will also be a raffle, and a prize for the best-dressed Barbie or Ken look at the disco.

Explaining why she's taking part in the Ness Factor, Kayleigh said: "Music is my life and I love the idea of sharing that with others. Several members of my extended family have received care from Highland Hospice – grandfather, aunties, uncles and cousins – and I would love to ‘pay it back’.

"I have been a hot mess with fundraising! I found it overwhelming at first but collaboration and gratitude have been the main themes for me, it's just been lovely to have everyone grouped together that I love, and them all supporting me.

"My highlights are a Mummy Market and Pamper Day, and Barbie Karaoke hosted by fellow contestant Liam Christie. There’s such a great family feel among the contestants which is great, I won’t mind if I lose to Liam – he’s a joy to be around!"

Tables for the Mummy Market are £10 each, and tickets for the Barbie Night are also £10. To book tickets, contact Kayleigh on 07594 867783.
