PICTURES: A football match held on the Black Isle was a hit with locals, raising £1250 for two important local groups

Kirsty Littlejohn organised the event in Culbokie on Saturday as part of her fundraising for the Strictly Inverness competition.

She is taking part in this year’s outing for the annual dance competition, which raises money for the Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice Centre.

Despite the snow, a large crowd gathered to watch two matches and a grand final played out on village pitches.

“It was really nice to have all the community come together and everybody came out to support me,” Ms Littlejohn said afterwards.

“I want to thank everyone for donating because I didn’t expect to raise that much money. Thanks as well to the people who donated raffle prizes. It was such good fun.”

Four teams were made up of friends and family for the event, with Team Green taking the top prize.

There was also home baking, a raffle, a bottle stall and face painting to provide entertainment for everyone.
