The former Chest, Heart and Stroke charity café and offices in the city centre could soon be converted to a two-bedroom residence.

If the planning application from Willem Stewart to Highland Council is successful, the three-floor property in Mealmarket Close, between the High Street and Baron Taylor's Street, will have a ground floor sitting room, kitchen and toilet, while double bedrooms with en suite shower rooms will be formed on the two upper floors.

Replacement timber double-glazed windows are part of the plan, and it is proposed the ground-floor shutter will be retained.

The application is being considered by the council.

Chest, Heart and Stroke no longer has premises in Inverness.
