An Inverness-based charity is appealing for cash and art and craft supplies to help local families during the Covid-19 lockdown.

Last week The Clay Studio, which is located in the Merkinch area of the city, managed to deliver more than 100 art and craft packs to a variety of outlets.

Organisers have delivered to a number of organisations including Merkinch Free Church; Smithton Primary; Women's Aid; Acts of Kindness Inverness and the Highlands; Ardersier Food Bank and many more.

However they have run out of money and are awaiting funding before they can make up any new orders.

In a Facebook post yesterday they said: "If you or anyone you know can spare a few pounds or have art and craft supplies that you no longer need, we would be very grateful and they will get distributed to families throughout the Highlands."

They also requested that people should send in photos of what they have managed to make with their art supplies so they can create an online gallery of everyone's work.
