Ceilidh success raises £2000 for Nairn County's Ground Improvement Fund

A NIGHT of music and community spirit was a success for Nairn County's fundraise bid, with just under £2000 raised for Ground Improvement Fund.

Reel Easy, the Nairn Speldings and Dave Godden performed at the Nairn Dunbar Golf club on the night and a raffle and auction were organise, with former chairman Donald Matheson winning the top auction prize.

Club fundraiser and MC Donald Wilson said: “It was the first major event for the relaunched Ground Improvement Fund taking the total to over £3000. Once again we are grateful for community support. Other events are at the planning stage and hopefully we can help the club build its vision for the future. It was a great evening and everyone enjoyed themselves."

Makes us want to go again next year!"

The fund was relaunched in February to further enhance the club's home ground at Station Park. Between 2013 and 2020 the fund successfully generated £100,000 towards major infrastructure development.
