POLICE in Inverness have released fresh CCTV images of a man they want to trace following an assault in a busy city centre nightspot.

The appeal follows the alleged assault on a man in the upper bar area of Hootananny in Church Street at 2.30am on Sunday 14th June.

"We are keen to speak to a man described as a white male, aged mid 20s-30 years, 6ft tall, with dark hair gelled in a comb over style," said a police spokesman. "He was wearing a black or very dark green t-shirt, dark blue jeans and black shoes with white stripes on the sides."

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
