The church was raising money for Childrens Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) in memory of former elder Ron Lyon, who was a long time volunteer for the charity.

Mr Bissett said: “The event was organised by the team who arranged the church opening during the summer, and it was nice to be able to share worship with our friends at Inverness East and the Methodist Church at Christmas.

“Despite all that’s going on in the world at the moment, I hope all who attended felt able to put aside their cares and concerns for an hour, sing the familiar carols and remember the joy of the birth of Christ at Christmas time.”
