A CARE home in Nairn has welcomed a new manager who has travelled more than 500 miles for the role.

Iwona Zarzycka has joined St Olaf, a Meallmore Ltd care home, to take over the role as care home manager.

She has re-located from south London and brings a wealth of knowledge and skills from more than a decade in the social care sector.

Previously, Ms Zarzycka has been a residential home manager, a dementia manager and a wellbeing lead.

The new role sees her heading a team of expert care specialists.

She has big ambitions for the home and hopes to expand the activities on offer to residents, as well as working closely with local community groups in Nairn.

Ms Zarzycka said: “I am thrilled to join Meallmore as the new care home manager at St Olaf.

“The company has such a brilliant reputation in Scotland and I’m looking forward to playing a role in enhancing its care offering.

“I have many exciting opportunities planned for the home and I cannot wait to get stuck in.

“What attracted me to Meallmore is the prestigious Investors in People (IIP) Gold Accreditation and the strong commitment to its people.

“I have been so impressed in our staff’s knowledge and dedication to their roles and I am already so proud to be part of a team that provides only the very best care to all residents.”
