An Ardersier resident has called for information to be passed to the police by anyone who knows who may be responsible for fly-tipping in the Carse Wood.

Culprits appear to have dumped what may be an entire roof’s worth of tiles in the popular walking area.

“It’s appalling,” John Ross said. “There has been fly-tipping in the wood for years but this is on a different scale altogether.

“It’s evident someone has had their entire roof replaced and dumped the tiles here, or whoever carried out the work for them has done this.

“The tiles are very identifiable and there is bound to be someone who knows where this has come from.

“If they do they should alert the police.”

Reports of fly-tipping are investigated by officers from Highland Council’s environmental health service with the Scottish Environment Protection Agency and Police Scotland.
