Caley Thistle's Championship clash away to Dunfermline Athletic tonight has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The East End Park fixture in Fife fell victim to heavy rain throughout the day with the announcement made at 3pm after a 2.45 pm pitch inspection.

The match was due to kick off at 7.45 pm.

Billy Dodds' team had been hoping to claim a victory to move joint top of the table with Arbroath on 37 points after 19 games played.

Arbroath's match at home to Hamilton Accies had already been called off along with Raith Rovers' home test against Queen of the South.

The Dunfermline postponement means both Kilmarnock and Partick Thistle have a chance of moving above the Highland team tonight into second place if they win their respective matches at home to Greenock Morton and Ayr United.
