Former Scotland and Rangers striker Duncan Ferguson will be named the new manager of Inverness Caley Thistle today, according to a variety of reports.

The Championship club is set to hold a press conference this morning, where it is thought they will unveil the new boss.

Inverness sacked head coach Billy Dodds and his assistant Barry Wilson earlier this month after a string of defeats. It followed the taking the side to the Scottish Cup final last season.

Ferguson is available after losing his job as manager of English club Forest Green in July.

The 51-year-old had interim periods in charge of Premier League club Everton, where he had two spells as a player. He also played for Newcastle United and Dundee United during the course of his career.

More to follow.
