CALEY Thistle has made its first donation to the Highland Hospice since the launch of its new 'Away Kit' partnership fundraiser.

The Inverness club has teamed up with the hospice this season for the partnership, which will not only see the club proudly wearing the hospice logo on its new away kit shorts, but also make a donation to the charity for every pink away shirt sold.

And the club has already handed over its first donation.

Caley Thistle manager John Robertson had been nominated by the Highland Hospice’s own Karen Duff to complete their fundraising #555HH Challenge, which meant he would run 5k, donate £5 and nominate five friends to also complete the challenge.

He was on hand to present the club’s £555 donation as well as his own crisp and shiny £5 note.

"Fortunately no-one can see the limp he now has following his 5k exertions," joked a club spokesman.
