BUSINESS UPDATE: New director for Highland solicitors, estate agents and letting agents Macleod & MacCallum

A leading Highland legal and property services firm has added a new director.

Gemma McClelland, one of Macleod & MacCallum’s associates, earns the promotion to the board four years after joining the company’s busy residential department.

Chief executive Alison Martin announced the move, saying: “We have a long and proud history of employing local talent and attracting people back to their roots to live and work in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland.

“We are delighted that Gemma will be able to help the business continue to develop and grow.”

Born and brought up in Inverness, Gemma spent her early years at Muirtown Primary School, then Charleston Academy.

After deciding that law was her future, she was accepted at Dundee University where she completed her Bachelor of Laws degree and Diploma in Legal Practice.

Gemma, who practised in Dundee before returning to Inverness to join Macleod & MacCallum, said: “As a local to Inverness, it is great to be back in the Highlands which is such a lovely place to bring up my two young children, and I am so pleased to be able to continue my career with a firm that is committed to helping their local community.”
