FIRMS are counting down to the annual celebration of Highland Business Week.

This includes preparing entries for the Highland Business Awards on September 29 at the Drumossie Hotel in Inverness.

Recognising the achievements of businesses and individuals throughout the region with entries from throughout the Highlands and Islands and Moray, the awards lunch is the high point of the week, attended by more than 300 people.

Companies have until July 28 to submit entries for this year’s awards – with more than 10 categories, including Inverness and Ross-shire business of the year.

Application forms are also available for a place at the Highland Spotlight business-to-business exhibition on September 26 at the Kingsmills Hotel in Inverness.

This showcase for the north business community has space for up to 65 exhibitors and has a reputation for stimulating major economic development for the region.

Inverness Chamber of Commerce is organising the week, with SPP as its media partner.

Chamber chief executive Stewart Nicol said: “We always refresh and review everything we do and again we are working hard on the week already just to make sure that everything that happens is focused on the business community and making it easier to make connections across the city and the wider region.”

The week takes place on September 25-29.
