Motorists are being urged to avoid the new Inverness one-way system after a bus got stuck near the castle.

The route was introduced by Highland Council on Monday.

The double-decker is at the junction of Castle Road/Haugh Road and View Place.

A driver, who wished to remain anonymous, said: "I'm going to avoid this area of the city like the plague until this one-way system is changed.

"It's causing too much mayhem. Police are there but not much is happening. Whoever thought it would be wise to send a double decker bus there needs to think again."
