Long-standing plans for a major upgrade of Bught Park in Inveress are to go before councillors.

The long-trailed £7.1 million project to redevelop Bught Park would include a new pavilion and shinty museum as well as improved infrastructure for more large-scale outdoor events – all supported by ground source heating

It is part of a wider umbrella project to deliver improvements to the Northern Meeting Park and Inverness Castle as well with almost £20 million from the UK government’s Levelling Up Fund.

The full planning application is due to be considered by councillors on the south planning applications committee on Tuesday.
