BIG-hearted Black Isle brothers are this weekend taking on a customised triathlon challenge for a cause close to their hearts.
Robbie (6) and Fergus (2) Bisset will be raising money for Kessock RNLI after talking through good causes with mum, Kim.
Robbie, who lives in Tore and goes to school in Culbokie, came up with his challenge himself. He plans swimming 12 lengths (300 metres), running five laps of the track (2000 metres) and then cycling from Inverness Leisure to the lifeboat station in Kessock (around 1.5 miles).
With mum’s help, little Fergus will take on two lengths of the pool (50 metres), a lap of the track (400 metres) and then join the cycle to the station under the Kessock Bridge.
The plucky pair, who have already secured pledges of more than £600, say in their appeal to members of the public and well-wishers: “Too many people are still drowning. More than ever we need the RNLI’s help. As a charity, the RNLI depends on our donations so it can go on saving lives and keeping us and our loved ones safe.
“RNLI lifesavers are our lifeline. They’re the lifeboat crews who provide 24-hour search and rescue right around the UK and Ireland."
