A bridge in Inverness could be out of action until Thursday.

It is unclear how long it has been closed but it was seen to be out of action last night.

The nearby Tomnahurich swing bridge is working normally.

When asked about the situation, a spokeswoman for Highland Council stated: “It is expected to reopen tomorrow or Thursday once repairs are carried out. The parts required are not off-the-shelf components and have to be manufactured. The old bridge will remain operational during this time.”
