It isn't every day you get married – which is precisely why it has to be just right.

At the Inverness Courier Highland Wedding Fair today, the doors opened from 12pm at Eden Court to welcome besotted couples from across the Highlands in pursuit of inspiration for their big day.

Brides and grooms-to-be enjoyed a wide variety of exhibitor stalls pitching a wealth of ideas, covering everything from invitations, bouquets and flower girl dresses, to rings, cake toppers and reception venues.

Later in the afternoon, guests were treated to a spectacular fashion show, which featured a selection of bridal outfits from Turriff-based boutique, Opalily Bridal.

The display, which started at 2pm, also featured Inverness-based Laura Ross Hair Design, bridal hair specialists, who provided the hair for the bridal models.

Mother of the bride outfits were also being shown, expertly exhibited by La-di-da Fashion.

Capping off its ambient setting, the sound and audio set-up for the fashion show was again very ably provided by Highland Castle Entertainment.

Throughout the day, several wedding experts were on hand to speak to soon-to-be-married couples, exchanging invaluable advice on how to apply those all-important touches to their special day.

Over 30 exhibitors from across the Highlands came to Eden Court to have their wares on show, including:
